Today we went hiking up at Rifle Falls. What a beautiful -- and cool, weatherwise -- spot.
I love hiking behind families. It brings back such great memories of hiking with our own kids. Look at that baby pack that daddy is using! So much fancier than the old orange Kelty pack we used.
Some shots of the Falls and creek:
We saw a large nest in one of the trees. Maybe an osprey nest....
Some of the interesting hikers we saw on the trails:
A guy carrying a football.
Young people in very fancy clothes. Really...
A storm rolled in so we decided to head to town. Stopped by Rifle Gap State Park for some photos and to watch the boats.
In the town of Rifle we found this little restaurant:
This town is a bit too cowboy for me. A Calf-A? Really?
Back in Glenwood we stopped for one of these:
Best way to end a hike!
