DH and I had the pleasure of listening to the beautiful music of MacArthur Fellow Regina Carter and Reverse Thread last night at the Summer of Jazz.
One of her band members, Yacouba Sissoko, plays a Kora which he made himself out of a gourd. A gorgeous, 21-string instrument, for sure.
There is not much better than a beautiful summer evening in the mountains, listening to jazz under a cloudless sky.

And so the Jazz begins!!
Yes, we are blessed here in the Roaring Fork Valley! Regina and her group were sensational. We've been listening to her CD.
Lucky, Lucky you Bella and DH. I love that sort of music - and in a live outdoor concert --- well what could be better ?? :)
