My Opal -- Alice, this is for you

I am posting this photo for my blog-friend, Alice. I know I said it was maybe white, but I was thinking "clear" and looking at this photo, perhaps it would be considered "Blue?" It has SO many different colors in it - blue, pink, orange, teal, red.... and this photo doesn't even do it credit. It is backed with black onyx and set in gold. I really do love it.

Thankyou so much for showing it to me Bella. I would call it blue. It looks gorgeous and with the black onyx as well.... a very versatile, wonderful piece of jewelry. These opals resonate with our emotional and mental energies and enhance intuition and creativity. Onyx is reputed to strengthen bone marrow and also balances the emotions - interesting that they have been set together !

Thanks, Alice. No wonder I love this piece so much. I don't wear a lot of jewelry but this one I love and wear most often.

While looking at jewelry on our weekend trip, lamar was saying how he thought the Opals were so pretty, and I told him about yours! We asked the woman about onyx too (what my ring is) and she said it was well priced because it never scratches or looses its shine. So I showed her my ring, and the scratches and shineless-ness, and she stated I must have some goo stuck to it cause it just doesn't scratch! I think she was selling us a load of * cause I can feel the scratch with my nail!
Now I know why I'm so well balanced and healthy boned :)

Sorry about the Wapiti..... Taffy but no carmel corn? Huh? And now you'll have to watch The Shining (again?)!
