Sewing...... and a bird

I finished 14 coffee sleeves today and will take a dozen down to the little coffee shop and send two to Michigan for my aunt.

This little birdie sat awhile on the back fence and then sipped quietly at the hummingbird feeder. A somewhat drabber version sat nearby and I'm thinking that it was the female of the pair. It was perhaps 6 inches long. I wish I knew what it was..... (For reference, the fence post is a bit over 5 inches wide. )

How much did you decide to sell them for?? Everyone at work said between 5-10.

The birds look fantastic on the coffee sleeves Bella .... you have a real flair for colour and design.
The visitor to your back yard looks very interesting with his orange neck and stripey back feathers.

Thanks, Alice! And I just wish I knew what kind of bird it was. I've never seen one like it. So colorful.

Mallory, I haven't decided yet. I will tell the shop owner what you found out..... I think I'll let her decide. ????

My cousin, a veterinarian, says the bird is a Bullock's Oriole! Thanks Jill.
