I've been fairly busy lately with lots of sewing and crafting projects but not a lot of blog time. This will be kind of a catch-up post (where I remembered to snap some photos.)
I've made a few more coffee sleeves, and I'm quilting my quilt by hand. What a project!
Made a Birdie Sling bag for my beautiful niece for her graduation.
The young ladies with whom I sew began working on Little Dresses for Africa. Here are some shots from the Creative Lab this morning:
Sometimes it's more fun to sew with someone when you can share music!
The young men have been repairing clothing and outdoor gear. I think the gals will be asking them to repair THEIR clothing, etc. now but I've told the guys to charge them!
One young man decided to make a hammock, went to the fabric store and REI and came in with his design, ready to sew. He was so excited when he finished it that he wanted to try it out. We rigged it up behind the store. Doesn't he look pleased with his product? If you want a hammock, he may be going in to the business!
And now for the little ones. They are making summer hats now, and one had to finish her gumdrop pillow yesterday. Such fun!
They made coffee sleeves for their moms and one little gal tried out some pattern-making and made her doll an apron, complete with a little pocket.
What have you been working on?

Lovely projects! I wish I had a sewing group to join!
I think all the sewing is wonderful Bella !! It's such an inspiration - I really love the fabric in the bag.
I'm back to have another look at the quilting photo .... the combination of florals with spotted fabric looks great !
Alice, I chose to use only fabrics I already had in my stash, but I do love the way it looks! It's been fun..... Now, if I could just get all the hand-quilting done.......
We have a similar group. We scrapbook. But i have to be honest. Your sewing group really looks so much more fun. I wish you were closer so I could join it!!!!
