Around Steamboat Springs
When we arrived in Steamboat for Youngest Daughter's graduation from Colorado Mountain College, we saw how she had created a HUGE welcome sign out of snow on the side of the mountain. What they teach in college nowadays!!
These have always been two of my very favorite signs anywhere. I'm sure there's a story about the Space Station Gas -- maybe Sputnik era? And of course Rabbit Ears Pass is the one you go over to get into Steamboat!
They don't call Steamboat "Ski Town, USA" for nothing! This snow-mobile was parked next to our car in the college parking lot.
Here are Middle Daughter and Youngest Daughter visiting some Steamboat characters.
Fishing is big near Steamboat. I like the fish door handle. And the painted tin outside a little shop was so pretty.
I'm thinking that the owner of this shop said, "One fine day I'll own a flower shop." And someone probably told her, "Yeah, when horses fly."
I will probably post more photos of our Steamboat - CMC Graduation Adventure on another day.
