The first part of this week has been so busy. Doctor appointment (new city, new doc, makes me so nervous), climbing a mountain, spending the day in the elementary school library, evening concert, and tutoring -- and always in the background, how will DH's retirement really affect us?
~~~So, for a little while, I'd like to be this swan that I photographed earlier this month. She was just floating on the water, her beak tucked neatly under her wing, paddling just a little with one foot, so she stayed circling in one spot ever so calmly on the lake. Sounds good to me right now!
Its so weird how they go in circles. I wonder if there are ever motion sick swan!
ME TOO! Just floating...for a while...lovely idea and I will make it my thought for the day (week? month? or more?) Thanks. A J
It is so interesting how they do that, just paddling with one foot, the other tucked up. Reminds me of sitting on a rocking chair with one leg tucked up, rocking the chair with the other..... such peace.
My daughter is fascinated with swans. Back in my country, there is a lake close to where we live, and she just melts from joy, when she sees them floating about. Kid stuff. :) Nice blog you have here :) I need to spice mine up a bit :D
