Make-it Monday

I was busy this past week with lots of crafting.
First, I needed some cards:
I also needed an ATC and an Inchie:
These are the ATCs I received from my aunt:
I'm fairly certain the girl and boy on the second ATC are my aunt and my dad!
And finally, today is Dream Time Monday in the Creative Awakenings group so here are my pages for November. I'll see where these take me!
Now, on to NaNoWriMo.
Have fun creating this week and let me know what you've been up to.

Friday Fun

My brother-in-law posted this on his Facebook today. It reminds me of a certain little kitten whose name starts with Quinton! Thanks for the laugh, Ray!

Thankful Thursday

Today, after about a foot and a half of snow, I find myself thankful for many things.
I am thankful that I have warm clothing, that I have the ability to shovel the snow, and I can listen to music while doing so.
I am thankful that I can shovel the snow AND the leaves at the same time!
I am thankful for entrepreneurial little neighbors who sell their pictures.
This is what one dollar will buy you on our block:
It's Corduroy!!!
I am thankful that the sun is coming out -- maybe.
And finally, after all the shoveling, I am thankful for a warm spot to read.

Make-it Monday

This week's Make-it focuses on Common Threads and a group of young men from Boulder High. Seems things have changed a lot since I was a student there and now one can earn extra credit in Chemistry by creating a mole!

I arrived on Thursday, late afternoon, to sew with the wonderful Sarah and instead found a lively group of high school boys, busily sewing away on the machines. It was truly delightful and I didn't want to interrupt them, so I decided my own sewing could wait. These young men, with a little help from a couple of gals, were making the cutest moles, complete with clothing, so they might earn some extra points for class.

AND they were impressed that I actually remembered -- from forty years ago!-- that a mole is 6 X 10 to the 23rd! But today moles are little stuffed critters made of animal fabric, wearing little shirts --- even in Chemistry class.

Come on in and sew -- or shop -- at Common Threads. 2707 Spruce, Boulder, CO
A couple cards I made this week.

She also clued me in on Fred. Check out his website. Really cool things.

Friday Fun

I've been trying to teach the kittens how to use the toilet. But they don't seem to be able to catch on to using the toilet paper. Either that, or it was the stuffed mouse's fault....
