Thankful Thursday

This morning I had the privilege of sewing with four incredible young men who were making scarves. What fun! I hated to see this sewing session end. The fellas all seemed pleased with their scarves, too!

Make-it Monday

Since we got our Christmas decorations out, I can use something I made over 25 years ago as a Make-it for this week! This is a cross-stitched wall hanging that is over three feet long and is one of my favorite pieces. This is just a small section of the piece:

The little gals I sew with made journals and here is one. In the first photo you can even see the cute little pencil pocket inside.

Because the following are Christmas presents, I can't show the whole things but I love the fabrics!!!

Have fun making something cool this week! And let me know what you made.

Fun Friday

Two little videos for Fun Friday today. The first is a "WHAT????
Did she really say what I thought she said?" video.
Don't know who's more deluded: Dana Perino, W's press secretary, or Sean Hannity!
The second video is more down to earth. A sweet and very tired
little hamster.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for my wonderful dentist, Dr. Ania Mohelicki. I actually felt quite pampered today while she replaced with new crowns some old silver fillings that were cracking my teeth. Everyone from Carol, who greeted me at the front desk, to Dr. Ania's assistant who gave me a blanket to help keep me warm, to Dr. Ania herself, making sure she wasn't hurting me -- what a great staff! Three hours after sitting down in the comfortable chair I walked out, with a delicious Jamba Juice to help get all the Novacaine out of my system.

If you're looking for a great dentist in this neck of the woods, you can find her information on her website: DrAnia.com

A follow-up: Dr. Ania (not her staff) called me the following day to see how I was doing. Like I said, she's great!

Thanksgiving leftovers

We made an amazing salad for lunch on Monday with our holiday leftovers. Along with the regular salad, we threw in some Christmas cabbages, black olives, turkey, peperoncini, and yes, even some of those gross fried onions from the green bean casserole! It was quite delicious.

Our weather is turning colder, so turkey soup is on the menu for today. Yum!
