This morning we decided it was the perfect day for a hike up to the cross at the top of the Red Mountain/Jeanne Golay Trail.
It was quite chilly when we headed out the door, but we quickly warmed up.
At one point I turned around to see how far we'd come.Saw lots of interesting things along the way:
Black-headed pine grosbeak singing.

Tom found his new house next to the cross.The views were amazing! Join us sometime.

Is that the cross in front of the house?
Yep! On top of Red Mountain. We could look down and see our house. We thought about bushwhacking our way down the mountain to save time/energy, but wisely decided against it! It's a long hike, but worth the views.
