On the sixth day of Christmas.....

...six movie fans, off to see Avatar. Wearing their 3D glasses. Rumor has it that the movie was fantastic. Well worth standing in line for an hour. Even after buying the tickets the day before.

On the fourth day of Christmas...

....this family of four! A family we love. A family we've known for quite awhile. A family who knows how to have a good time with friends, and great food! We had dinner with them tonight and, as usual, went home feeling happy...... and full! Everyone should know a family like this. Thanks Bob, Kathryn, Mary, Seth! We love you much and treasure your friendship.

On the third day of Christmas.....

.... three coffee sleeves. I have been making a lot of these lately, using bits of fabric, ribbon, batting, and buttons from my stash. An eco-friendly project, for sure!

On the second day of Christmas......

...Two neighbor dogs who LOVE playing in the snow. And look at that huge ball Santa brought them! Santa left a box of cookies for them at our house. Yummm....

On the first day of Christmas.......

A friend asked if I was going to do the twelve days of Christmas again this year, so..... here goes:

....one brand new camera. A red one. A Pentax. The brand I grew up with. Nice.........

And here's a short video of some of the music at Christmas Eve mass last night. We "roamin' Catholics" who have had to find another spiritual home after the turmoil at our old parish have been welcomed into this tiny Catholic community in a nearby town in the mountains. This community uses the Methodist Church on Saturday evenings, Christmas Eve, and for the Easter Vigil. The community is extremely welcoming and mass is always quite beautiful. Last night the singing nearly blew the roof off of the church. Wonderful............... !! We may have found our new home.

Beautiful Sunday in Boulder

So many of our friends and relatives are in the midst of a huge snowstorm so I thought I would give you a little picture-show of our walk around Boulder today. It was just another day in paradise! Which is your favorite picture?

Peace, Please!

I know our president is far more intelligent about these things, and I know he didn't rush into sending more troops to Afghanistan, but it doesn't seem right. I hope -- and pray -- he reconsiders.

Friday Fun

This is a photo from the Thanksgiving hike I took with my Middle Brother. I think he was planning on using that walking stick if he saw a mountain lion nearby. MB to the rescue! And it reminds me of the camping trip he took with Dear Husband years ago -- where MB brought only a space blanket and needed to share a sleeping bag with DH! We still laugh about that!

But if that's not funny enough for you, you should check out these Santas!

Thankful Thursday

This week I am thankful for our SCC, Small Catholic Community. We meet twice monthly to share our faith, discuss, question, pray...... and have been doing so for ten years now. Over the years we've lost members and gained some but we keep forging ahead. Last night we had our "Christmas dinner" at a local restaurant and, at least at my end of the table, the faith discussion was ever-present! From an article I found on the web: "researchers posit that Catholics' thirst for sharing their faith at an intimate level goes back to the home-based gatherings of the early Christian church." We're part of a two thousand year old project! Wow..... rather awesome, don't you think?

Next up -- the Enneagram. We'll be learning about this tool for our spiritual journey by using DVDs by Fr. Richard Rohr, OFM and Russ Hudson. I'm really looking forward to this as the Enneagram has been very useful to me and I'm excited to share it with my "brothers and sisters."
