Because she spent the morning trying to do some housecleaning. If only she could figure out how to throw the paper towels away when she's finished with them!

Tenacity

Webster's Online Dictionary defines tenacity as the quality or state of being tenacious. As a Catholic grammar school student in the late 50s and 60s, the dear nuns taught us to NEVER use the word, or a form of it, in the definition of the word, for good reason! It explains NOTHING! Clearly, Webster did NOT go to a Catholic school!

So, here is my wordless definition of tenacity:

Make-it Monday

This week's Make-It is nature-made! As I was walking out to the mailbox this morning I saw this very strange looking mushroom. At least I think it's a mushroom. The top is a bit green, with a green liquid oozing out. Next to it are mushrooms that look like potatoes. I'm thinking the tall one may have popped out of a "potato." I would love to know what this is, if anyone knows!

New Stuff

New stuff to play with. Some Friendly Plastic, found with the help of a blog I follow, Paperclay, Distress Embossing Powder, and a cool rubber stamp.

Then I found the pens that my friend, Dada, showed me earlier this week. Gel pens that are erasable. (We're both pen and notebook geeks!) I think I'll share these but I can't decide which color to keep for myself..........

Fun Friday

Doesn't this look like a fun bike to ride? I'd like to give it a try -- anywhere other than here, though! Too much animosity between cyclists and car drivers around here.

But just imagine you and a friend cruising down Left Hand Canyon!

If anyone knows what this bike is called, I'd love to know.

Cleaning UP for the Wedding

Yesterday we attended the wedding of our friends and just before the beginning of the ceremony, we caught the bride tidying up the groom. Too cute!

Friday Fun

Dear Husband was trying to listen to a CD at Borders today. But he couldn't figure out why he couldn't hear the music. Do you think it might have been because THE HEADPHONES WERE NOT PLUGGED IN TO ANYTHING????

Watering the Rocks

A few days ago I was shopping at Twenty-Ninth Street when I came upon the above scene. The question is: are they trying to get the rocks to grow or keep the rocks clean? OR is it just another way to "Keep Boulder Weird?"

Newly Stained, in more ways than one!

I spent yesterday morning, and part of the afternoon, staining our deck, table, and benches. This morning I discovered something else staining one of the benches. Gotta love those decorating birds!

Fun Friday

A man was driving down the road with twenty penguins in the back seat. The police stop him and say that he can't drive around with the penguins in the car and should take them to the zoo. The man agrees and drives off.

The next day the same man is driving down the road with twenty penguins in the back and again. He is stopped by the same police officer who says,"Hey! I though I told you to take those to the zoo."

The man replies "I did. Today I'm taking them to the movies."
